We’re excited to share that UK-based Aston Manor Cider has selected LineView for production line monitoring and OEE data collection software. With a goal of achieving increased production efficiencies at their two packaging facilities, Aston Manor has chosen to install the company’s industry leading LineView™ solution on all of their lines, starting with their new canning line in Birmingham.
Our Commercial Director, Andrew Giles says, “While we are incredibly proud of our success in beverage plants around the globe, this is a great opportunity to assist a company in the West Midlands; particularly a company with such a long-standing reputation as Aston Manor Cider.”
As many of you may know, Aston Manor has become one of the leading cider makers in the UK. Established in 1983, they have production and packaging facilities in Birmingham and in Tiverton, orchards in Worcestershire and Herefordshire, a fruit processing and pressing facility in Stourtport-on-Severn, and a logistics hub and head office, also in Birmingham.
Andrew also stated, “They are a company with many awards in their history including, just this past year, being named one of the top sustainable businesses in the alcohol industry at the Drinks Business Green Awards and both Green Business of the Year and Company of the Year at the Birmingham Post Business Awards. As well, in just the past three years they have been awarded more than twenty-five taste awards.”
“At Aston Manor Cider we continue to have ambitions for growth and continuous improvement across our manufacturing sites, however our broad portfolio of ciders does create a certain amount of complexity that challenges our operational efficiency,” explained their Manufacturing Director, Paul Clifford.
“We are confident that smart data that focuses on the six big losses will help us optimise our efficiencies whilst we continue to expand. We have given LineView long consideration and we are well aware of the results they help to bring about in bottling and canning facilities around the world. We are sincerely excited with the prospect.”
The brand portfolio of Aston Manor Cider includes Kingstone Press, Crumpton Oaks, Frosty Jack’s, Golden Valley, Chardolini and dozens of private label products.
If you haven’t already, we might suggest you give them a try. Cheers!
